Evident when you step into Mountz Gallery is Lois's love for nature. That is the theme of most of her works. In the 30 years or so that she has been painting and showing her work, collectors come to her for renditions of birds, flowers, and landscapes. She and her husband, Ken, have travelled far and wide to outdoor and indoor art exhibits, and she has received many awards through the years.
The ribbons are not as important to her as all the friends she and Ken have made - both artists and patrons. Her paintings have homes in virtually every state of the US as well as many foreign countries. Even with the gallery, she still finds time to paint, occasionally doing programs, demonstrations and workshops.
Lois believes her Christian upbringing and her faith have taken her where she is today with her art. She is also a musician, writes Christian music, and has been a church organist for almost 30 years.
